I love to eat! Most of the time I go out to dine in a restaurant where some food are served and cooked with alcohol. I dont drink alcohol but I ate alcohol hahaha… Sounds funny for me. I just wonder if there are alternatives for these and Im glad after a click of the mouse, google gave me lists.
Believe it or not, we can alter alcohol for cooking. Here are the lists :
Amaretto: Use 1/4 – 1/2 tsp. almond extract for 2 tbsp. Amaretto.
Brandy: Use equal amounts of white grape juice, water, apple juice or apple cider, apricot syrups or diluted peach.
Champagne: ginger ale.
Cointreau: frozen orange juice concentrate or orange juice.
Cognac: apricots, peaches, or pears.
Crème de menthe: Spearmint extract or oil of spearmint diluted with a little water or grapefruit juice.
Dry Red Wine: Use equal amount of red grape juices or cranberry juices. Also may substitute chicken, beef or vegetable broth, clam juice, and fruit juices.
Grand Marnier or Orange-Flavored Liqueur: Use 2 tbsp. unsweetened orange juice concentrate or 2 tbsp. orange juice and 1/2 tsp. orange extract for 2 tbsp. Grand Marnier.
